Specta Store: How it all Started

Specta Store is a company that was formed to provide complete footwears and fashion collections (both formal and casual) selections, as well as footwears accessories (stockings, shoe racks, etc.) to its target market. The Company got started in early 2017 during the period that the founder Hope Kesmen was about to go to law school in Lagos state; her father gave her a lump sum of money to cover for her allowances for the whole year as he will also be away to school in South Africa and won’t be easily available for meeting her monthly allowance.

Looking at this location in Lagos city being the largest fashion market hub in Nigeria, she immediately saw the opportunity it offers, coupled with her love for fashion, her eyes for good things and was able to identify a niche market and the target customers who were mostly corporate workers, freelancers and people who just love nice things for everyday fashion. She trusted herself to source fabulous items and introduced them to the people who needed them using the most feasible channels available. She also understood the values of building trust by upholding her honesty, transparency and straightforwardness with extreme passionate customer care will make customers feel secure and safe.

Consequently, Kesmen spontaneously started the business using the lumpsum of money given to her by her dad as allowance to start the business in a simple way and believed it would evolve into a global brand, provide employment opportunities, and become a source of income for her.

By 2019, the founder realized the growth potential and decided to incorporate Specta Store with the Corporate Affairs Commission on the 27th of September of the same year. Since then, she has become a company that not only provides everyday shoes and formal shoes, but also specializes in formal apparels, special request fashion products for any occasion or use cases and fashion accessories.

Located in Lekki – the heart of modern Lagos Island, the main goal of the Company is to provide its target market with not only a full-line of formal and casual footwears, apparels and accessories, but also special request alteration and delivery services for their growing online customers in Lagos, Abuja, Jos, Ibadan, Illorin , Kano, Kaduna, Maiduguri, Imo, Aba, Ogun, Kogi, etc. The Company will continue to keep its relationship with their supply partners and continue to utilize some of its services.
